| I bought this game as a joke...and it actually suprised me. Being a veteran of Wisdom Tree's games for the NES and SNES, I expected nothing but garbage when I picked up this game for $5 in a K-Mart clearance rack. However, it's really not that bad.
When I sat down and played the game, I grabbed two friends who hate anything bible related to play the game with me. Oddly enough, we had a blast for a while. unfortunately, with a small assortment of mini-games, the thrills don't last...And while the back of the dvd case gloats that they have 1500 questions in the game, during our two hours of solid play, we recieved one question three times in three consecutive games. |

Another gripe I have is the fact that the computer seems to luck out on the board. We played the game five times in a row...The computer recieved the "Wrath of God" (a penalty which removes any points you have) only once. The rest of the time, we all suffered. I tested it out by myself later on, playing against three computer opponents and usually got similar results. When you're leading the pack and suddenly lose all of your points, it's a major buzzkill. I never thought I'd use the term buzzkill when refering to a bible game.

On the flip side, when you play the game in four-player mode, the "Wrath of God" can actually be fun. It helps spark trash talk amongst friends, and bring in excitement to the game. I'd also be lying if I said it didn't make for a decent drinking game. If you plan on playing this game, four-player mode is most definately where the majority of the fun is at.
Basically, if you give it a chance, you've got a decent party game that even the biblically challenged can enjoy. By no means will this game ever sell systems...nor will it ever be on someone's best games of all-time list...but for a game to pull out with some friends every now and then, or to enjoy with your family, it's not a bad game. So long as you don't get that blasted "Wrath of God" on a consistant basis. - Ape
